kennett
Evening all, need some advice from the pros. Been asked to go stuffing/stop them shooting each other, for a team of Americans in Dec. What should I take to make me look like a proper loader and make it go as smoothly as posssible? ips
So really your minding not loading per se, which is a whole different kettle of fish. Are they experienced, one assumes not at driven or they wouldn't require a minder. I think its not a case of what to take as such but how to interact on the day, safety and etiquette etc. On the what to take.... Ear plugs in case gun forgets Plasters in case he traps your finger Multitool for whatever Lighter in case he smokes Small hand towel to wipe his gun Cleaning kit incl 20bore Hip flask...you will need it 😁
welshwarrior
I load/stuff/mind clients a few days each week. Normal there's no issue with safety but you must first ascertain the guns experience you don't need to talk out of turn. Normally for me this a simple few questions "how many driven days do you shoot? Been shooting long/ feeling confident" Then when I hand them the gun it normally gives me a very good idea. As does discussing likely lines the birds may take. Kit wise wear normal shooting rig. Plus 4s shirt tie ghillet and boot waterproof if needed Headphones for me and the gun Cap me and spare for gun Spare tie Cartridge bag Mag stick Empties bag Leather gloves in case it's a sbs and gun does have one for front hand. Cleaning kit Spare slip 250 spare cartridges just in case gun forgets his unless estate is providing In car first aide kit pintched fingers Others have said flask I do t drink whilst working and won't encourage a gun to drink whilst shooting. Business cards in case he needs lesson or a minder on other days Edited October 31, 2017 by welshwarrior
