washerboy
Well what a great interesting place, something’s will make you want to run home screaming but most of the time the place is simply wonderful. cheap enough to eat and drink out everyday if you do wish. if anyone is thinking of going then do it. i will definitely go back

oowee
I was there a couple of years ago, walking and cycling in the mountains and spending a week in the city. As I drove into the medina on the way back from the mountains the tom tom sat nav said 'prepare for prayer' I would not recommend driving in the city
Cranfield
A phenomenal very atmospheric place, we have been there several times , mainly for a week, but did another trip where we spent a week in the Atlas Mountains and a week in town. Be adventurous and try the outdoor food in the Market, great shopping and bargaining, henna tattoos that wear off, amazing spices and the Majorelle Jardin is probably the best gardens we have seen anywhere. Gotta go there.

washerboy
Ate several times out of our hotel, once in the new town and three or four times in the market place. Wonderful place to people watch and speak basic French I remembered from school ?
lksopener
You hear hear quite a few people slating marrakech but it's normally folk who either aren't adventurous or who have lived holidaying on the costas (yawn!). Its a fabulous place, plenty of culture, history atomosphere and cheap to eat and drink to boot. Be a savvy traveller and you can't go wrong. Fes is next on my list as well as possibly Rabat and Essouria. Glad you enjoyed your trip.
