sky gipsy
As the title really...is anti virus protection needed on an Android phone, and if so what you you recommend using that will not slow things down too much. Thanks

Jbob
I don’t bother. I did get paranoid when I first got my android phone as I had move from iPhone which is as safe as safe can be. I did some research on line and read articles which basically said google play store makes sure apps don’t have malware or viruses when they are submitted. If you use google play store and are careful then there should be no problems. All an antivirus will do is slow your phone down. https://www.extremetech.com/computing/104827-android-antivirus-apps-are-useless-heres-what-to-do-instead

Thank you to all above for your advise
Rewulf
I dont bother, used android phones for 8 years now. If it bothers you, use something like CCleaner once a week/month
