yickdaz
the birds are still on the stubbles in the areas we shoot, good numbers of them, there must be around a 1000 in one area but split up on 3 different farms so you need a few out shooting to keep them moving, I set out in the rain hoping it would ease off but it was dinner time by the time it did, I headed straight to where I have been shooting small bags over the last few weeks, there was a PW member (old butcher) parked up at one farm on an old bean stubble we both shoot this farm, I would of gone over and had a chat but time was getting on, and knowing he will be shooting on there I set up just over the road from him with a good idea we will keep them moving between us and we did both of us had shooting, they wouldn't decoy to start and took me 30 mins to shoot 2 for the rotary, once I got that going they started to play ball a little bit had 2 hrs of steady sport it never lit up but came away with 34 picked and lost 4 as I walked back to the car with all the gear in a wheelbarrow old butcher pulled up at the gate and we chatted for a while he managed 20 birds so not a bad result between us of 54, it pays to get along with other pigeon shooters and share the sport, and make things work between you
