Ricko
Hi, the key fob on my van seems to have fallen apart, a microswitches has snapped off the pcb in the key, I'm being quoted quite ridiculous fees for replacing it. It's only an old van I trundle around in, sometimes to go shooting or wild van camping, I can't believe that a new key fob is nearly 200 quid?? any advice welcome?? Rst1990
What make and model van is it? Also what does the fob look like? Any pics? most fobs you can buy off eBay and program yourself by a series of instructions. i done mine myself recently purchased off eBay programmes to the van in less than a minute, saved myself a lot of money brand new genuine ford transit fob was only £
amateur
I replaced both my key fobs from eBay when the rubber pressles on my originals wore out. The only downside was that the key fitting had to be slightly modified to fit in the new fob and the printing has now worn off, but the fob works well

steve_b_wales
I had a brand new fob for my Freelander 2 from 'remotefobcentre' via Ebay. Cost me £40, which was a hell of a lot cheaper than the £170+ VAT, Stratstones quoted.
Ricko
Got my son on the case with a tiny, needle tip in his soldering iron. He's managed to solder the surface mount microswitch back on, and it works! Proud of him!
