That way we will be able to choose who builds it (UK firm), where the materials come from (UK firm, if we have any companies left producing any materials), who pays for what, how much we pay and who controls the "borders" on the bridge. We will also not have to pay some form of "bribe" to the EU for "allowing" us to do it! How dare you use common sense and a practical approach to helping British industry ,the British goverment would be appalled at this naive attitude. There must be a sealed bid approach open to only non British companies maybe the Chinese ,the steel and concrete must be imported by non UK shipping and the bridge must be made using cheap foreign labour and only the French or Italians be given management position
Twistedsanity
Their is and never was any intention to build a bridge, it's just designed to be a huge distraction from all the other things they want to take people's attention away from, like carillon, the deliberate destruction of the NHS so they can sell the rest of it off to beardy Branson and God only knows what else

Vince Green
all this talk of illegal immigrants, anyone would think they were a problem. Don't you realise we need them to drive Uber cabs and deliver pizzas? Boris is so clever, he only raised the bridge as an issue because his meeting with the American Secretary of State (on the same day) went down like a lead balloon and he has totally deflected the media from asking what went wrong.
