walt1980
I know this is gonna throw up loads of opinions etc, but I’m going on a walked up grouse shoot in Yorkshire next month, never been on a grouse shoot before. Cartridge wise for pheasants I usually use a 30g 6 Eley copper things, work well for flat Suffolk. Was going to use them for this as well, or has anyone got a more suitable cartridge? A mate has said 28g 7??
Dave at kelton
I would use your usual cartridge in felt wad
panoma1
30 gram 6 with fibre wad is fine.......as is 28/ gram 7 through a lightly choked gun!..........They ain't hard to kill, if your quick enough and can hit em!........Fabulous sport.......!Enjoy
TIGHTCHOKE
Take a few 28g 7s on to the skeet layout as a warm up.
Smokersmith
Your usual shells will work well. Enjoy ?
B525 LIGHT
Many estates restrict you to 6’s or smaller for safety these says. Any 28 to 30g fibre wad 6 is ample.
Guest cookoff013
there is virtually nothing between the 2 shells, 28#7 and 30#6. crack on.

But if you remain unconvinced, 28 or 30 of 6&1/2s will settle it.
Milo
I bought a few thousand Express 29 grm 6.5 Supreme Grouse for pigeons (red cartridges easier to find than black) and they were fine. Can't say I noticed a difference to any other mild recoil game cartridge.
