prem1234
So I bought some Romangnola 70mm 28G Fibre 6s and they are 2.7mm diameter so between an english 5 and 6 I believe as an english 5 is 2.8mm and english 6 is 2.6mm. On my cartridges it states the shot diameter have you got anything written on yours ? Edited January 21, 2019 by prem1234
arjimlad
I use those 6s happily on pigeons, normal pheasant and partridge.

oldypigeonpopper
hello, thanks all for replies, so just cartridge was not quite right on the shot size, should be ok for hide shooting anyway and they were quite a bit cheaper last year, thanks prem1234 will remember that. GingerCat
I had some in fibre 32g 5-6 flavour and they were very good on pigeons out to whatever ranges I could hit them at. Smelt a bit "different" so not idea what powder they used but excellent for the price and better than a lot of others. I actually killed a pigeon with the fibre wad (witnessed by another pw member) at about 15 yards as it flew over a hedge. Buried itself into it's chest. Not a pellet on the bird. Wingman
I agree with GingerCat had a slab of the 32 6's and they were very good would certainly like to try the 28's if I could find some. Didnt have any weird wad problems with any of mine, could be a quality control issue.
