Dazv
Hi all, ive recently applied for my fac, the thing I'm unsure of does the ammo/bolt safe have to be bolted down? Also what size safe would you guys recommend to fit bolts/ammo in as I don't want to end up buying something that won't fit everything in! Any help would be appreciated! darren
Good shot?
I use a B&Q safe (do not get digital) and bolted it to the top of gun cabinet. About £25 at the time. Edited January 29, 2019 by Good shot? Spelling
Walker570
No point in having a safe if it ain't bolted down. Size is down to how much your going to be storing. A couple of hundred, or a couple of thousand

bluesj
I would say go for as big one as you have space for, a small one can be a bit of a pain by the time you have a few different calibres etc in it. plus when its big and heavy enough it doesn't need bolting down 😀
Old melv
I made my ammunition safe from an old hydraulic tank cut the top off welded a door on fitted a staple through the door. I use a padlock to lock it with a cover over to stop anybody being able to hammer the lock. Bolted to the top of the cabinet and back to the wall. Firearms officer has always been more than happy with it and it's big enough to store all my ammo. .22 .223 .308 bolts and other stuff.
