HI VEGETA i am looking of reccommendations of very accurate hunting rifles (worth the money) you kno what i mean :good:

how do you like your tikka??

What's your budget?

The tikka I have is a fine rifle, the stock is the only thing I don't like as the plastic used feels a bit cheap or something.

The bolt is as smooth as you'll find. Accuracy is decent for a factory rifle. I am a member of the midlands rifle club and I use it there quite often. I have put 5 shots into a 20cent coin sized hole at 100 yards with it.

Hunting ammo is very easy to buy for the .223 but match grade target ammo is close to impossible (around my way anyway) to get for it.

Sako 75 - all round great gun with out of the box accuracy, excellent build quility and a great handling gun.

Sako would get my vote every time

Had Sako brought out the Quad with timber stock when i was getting my 17 HMR then i would of bought 1 without hesitation.

I voted Remington, wouldn't swop my 700 for anything else, I'm really comfortable with it. May be applying for a .243 or .308 shortly(not made up my mind yet), that will also be a Remington. Tikka has a good reputation, although I never used one myself. A mate of mine has a Weatherby and a Savage, I'm not really keen on either of those. Just my opinion!

IMO I would rate them:

Remington - good build, reliability, out of the box accuracy, trigger - which can vary from gun to gun admitadly - and excellent versatility/adaptability 9/10

Sako - Excellent gun, but pricey and not as versatile/adaptable as the Remmy 8.5/10

Steyr manlicher - Good gun 7/10

Ruger - OK 5.5/10

Tikka - Pretty good trigger, but even though they are owned by Sako...they are definately NOT a Sako!! Cheap feel, lower build quality 5/10

CZ - Good value, cheap feel and lower build quality 4.5/10
