Floki
KRAL PUNCHER MAXI PCP .177 AIR RIFLE I'm looking for decent pcp that is that i can use for target shooting and possibly pest control (Rabbits, Pigeons) in future. Its hard to find reveiws on this specific peice and would appreciate opinions and reccomendations. I'm specifically looking for .177s as i've been told they're more accurate and would appreciate any other reccomendations https://www.justairguns.co.uk/kral-puncher-maxi-pcp-177/

figgy
There are no caliber more accurate than another. Only the point that .177 is flatter shooting trajectory so requires less holdover or hold under making it easier to shoot point blank target over a longer distance. Ultrastu
The science of ballistics would totally agree with you figgy . But in over 30 years of shooting airguns with loads of different guns (springer .pcp, co2 , pumpup .) Ive virtually always found .177 to actually be more accurate than .22 in a like for like situation .(ie group size and consistency on paper and on quarry ) Ie .bsa lightening .177 v .22 at 40 yds .177 wins Bsa ultra se .177 v .22 at 50 yds .177 wins . There are many more examples . Its not just the forgivingness of the faster pellet on range estimation. . I know science doesnt hold for the above conclusion .but all the guns ive shot dont lie . Its one of the main reasons i advocate .177 for longer range rabbit hunting . Edited November 25, 2019 by Ultrastu
