We have a species in NZ: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paradise_shelduck It has game bird status, but can be a pest to farmers. They are often found in paddocks close to water troughs. They are an interesting sporting species. If you miss them the first time, they will circle round more often than not and let you have another go!
