NatureBoy
Anyone else see the article in the Independent other day, about Boris intervening twice to have the badger cull stopped in Derbyshire. Can't find it? Apparently it was at the request of Carrie who's Dominic Dyers puppet! Not heard of anyone else jumping on it or it being mentioned else were. Seems to be a lot of anti activity centred on Derbyshire. NB
del.gue
I thought the NFU were looking into it?
Dougy
Carrying out a vaccination program and plan a cull in the same county was in my opinion rather a silly thing to do by the cull organizers, and why would have they expected anything but objections from the anti brigade. Another own goal, right in the back of the net.
mick miller
You cannot reliably vaccinate cattle against bovine TB and you cannot vaccinate badgers either. So that leaves but two options. Fewer cattle or fewer badgers.
Dougy
We know that as being obvious MM, but knowing that you will.gave the world and his wife trying to stop a cull, it is not helping by handing them your armoury. As why give them another cause to contest the cull. Let the vaccination take place and cull another area but dont expect to be able to do both and get scientific results. enfieldspares
You CANNOT sell meat from cattle vaccinated against TB into our nearest market for it...the EU. Unless someone knows different?
Rim Fire
What is the point in vaccinating an animal then having a cull in the same area you end up shooting the vaccinated animal or am i missing something

Tell you what, if the cullers were as well organised as the Anti's they would improve 10 fold, at least they done fall out with each other. CharlieT
The problem being that Derbyshire Wildlife Trust decided to poke their nose into the BTb issue and vaccinate badgers therefore putting a spoke in the wheel of the farmers application for a cull. So we have now ended up with an acknowledged hot spot area where a cull should have taken place being denied a cull because DWT decided to vaccinate a few badgers. You couldn't make it up if you tried.

Modafinale
I’m not sure but it’s still ongoing I’ve been told.
