Jimmy2B
Hi all - sorry if this seems a bit obvious or stupid or has already been covered. I'm considering buying a second hand air rifle from Gunstar however it's from a private seller who lives far too far away to meet in person. Does anyone have any advice on how to do this / what to watch out for / how it works / how I go about not getting diddled? Thanks all... Rewulf
Unless its a rare/ridiculously cheap gun , find one closer to home, or travel. By the time youve paid carriage and/or RFD fees , it probably isnt worth it to do it anyway.
bruno22rf
OK - so buying from a private individual has it's ups and downs. You can get just the gun you want at a price you are happy with - or you could lose all your hard earned and have no come back. You could ask on any Airgun forum if any members know the seller - or you could ask the seller if they are members of any forum and then judge what kind of person you are dealing with by their posts. You could have the seller post the gun to your nearest RFD for you to inspect if the seller makes an agreement with the RFD not to release the gun until told to i.e. once payment has been received. What gun is it and where is it?

ditchman
sometimes if it is a break barrel air rifle the barrell will be unbolted and wrapped and sent to you in bits....so make sure you can put it together...
