steve_b_wales
Can I send a tub/s of gunpowder to someone via Royal Mail? I've read/heard that it can be sent via their Express48 service. Edited August 30, 2020 by steve_b_wales

Windswept
I wouldn't of thought so otherwise it would be cheaper to get powders delivered from shops. From: https://personal.help.royalmail.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/96/~/prohibited-goods---personal-customers#Explosives Quote Explosives (including fireworks, flares, blasting caps, party poppers, Cracker snaps) Any chemical compound, mixture or device capable of producing an explosive or pyrotechnic effect with substantial instantaneous release of heat and gas is prohibited e.g. ammunition, blasting caps, Christmas cracker snaps, fireworks, flares, fuses, igniters, nitro-glycerine and party poppers. International - Not allowed in the mail UK - Not allowed in the mail Items that appear to be prohibited explosive ordnance may be subject to additional checks and delays. Vince Green
I believe its not illegal in the criminal sense, its just against their Terms and Conditions Ordinary powder is not actually an explosive, which is why we can buy it without an explosives licence Edited August 30, 2020 by Vince Green
