ratchers
Thinking about buying a different caliber barrel for my air rifle. Seller says it will have to be rfd'd, is that right and will it cost?
Spr1985
I’m going to take a punt here and say that it would wholey depend on weather it is fac air or sub 12ft lb. the later being (as far as I am aware) perfectly legal to send through the postal service/courier. No doubt if I am incorrect I will shortly be corrected.

johnphilip
If its a private sale then no . I have sent shotgun barrels away to get reblued . I asked my firearms officer . He just said they are just two metal tubes , crack on . Edited September 17, 2020 by johnphilip

Strange you can buy an air rifle / pistol From the EU have it shipped to your door for around £ 15 . Yet here in the UK you are stuck with two RFD costs at maybe 50 quid total . At the end of the day its just a meta tube . Sorry can't be more helpfull . Plus here in Scotland we have the bleeding licence to deal with . scobydog
Maybe it's to prove your old enough to purchase an air rifle/pistol, I think John Knibbs will only send to rfd's. S
figgy
Go to your local gun shop ask for a price for the barrel you want. Might work out cheaper.
