NatureBoy
Drive careful if you are out on back roads after dark folks. Lot of water about. Having to dry out my truck to day. Was droping off game etc to folk last night. Committed to going through flood on road i now. Passed one car limping out, that bizarrely i found out later was my brother. Was doing ok in deepest bit but pushing big bow wave. Then came to railway bridge and bend and that was where i found abandoned car blocking the road under the bridge. Was little bit deeper now. Bib bow wave crashed up back of car as i suddenly stopped. Quickly chucked truck in reverse and push back up bit of bank. With water coming into foot wells now i thought i at got long before i am swamped. Cranked it on to full lock and gave it some beans. Back spun round and bouncing up and off opposite bank managed to turn round. Fire and rescue turned up just as i managed to get out. Today truck bit damp smelly and bent but seems ok. Good ol Rangers! Have a good one folks! . . . Dream BIG! Worry small. NB
Walker570
ALSO watch out be aware damp roads also freeze. Out early this morning and a good frost. Four or five greasy patches in the lane as I went out. Take care out there.

The main roads were fine at 06:15 this morning, but the first 2 miles on the minor roads was interesting!

This was on a frozen road around the corner from walker570 /nev . 9 years ago I have to say it’s a scary experience. A lady woke me up and 2 other cars were in the field with me 🙈
