Old Boggy
Having a bit of a tidy up and came across these lovely little items. The powder gauge on the bottom is fairly obvious as is the cartridge extractor on the top, but who can tell me what the knurled bit on the cartridge extractor is and how it works. I know and I`m sure many do, but any guesses ? OB

Yep if you twist against the case it extends gripping the inside so you can pull it out
