Random stops are how they catch people They pretty much do everywhere, like you say , if the face , or car, doesnt fit , or is acting oddly, you will get a tug. The libs constantly complain about it , as it 'discrimination' if the recipient of the attention is a minority. The same people complain about police underfunding when they are a victim of crime , but hey ho... The calls and plans for more stops are already being decried as we speak by the usual 'suspects' The same ones who also call for more help for the, err 'refugees' paddling across the channel in droves on a daily basis. She was actively caught goading the police, despite the fact she accused them of racism when the vehicle concerned had tinted windows and the officers couldn't possibly have known the ethnicity of the driver... Gordon R
JohnfromUK - It is a bit unfair to post another snippet, showing that Florida is not as good as the Governor would have us (or maybe just one of us) believe. 🤣

It seems that AP news are fairly 'central' and regarded as 'reliable'. - I also wanted to be very careful to be 'non personal' to any other participants in the thread. Simply having that people in hospital for a few days will tie up the service . Whatever the current figures are over here they won't be correct, because nobody of school age or in education will be testing now it's the holidays unless they actually have symptoms, why would they. But what is correct? Look at it another way. Healthy people aren't getting tested. That strikes me as more 'correct' than schoolkids testing positive (whether they're positive and otherwise unaffected or cheating the tests) - the virus is out there and airborne after all. Mass routine testing of groups who aren't badly affected is not normal life. Arguably the culture of fear this is instilling in vulnerable young minds is causing more damage than the virus itself.
