Wild Bill
I'm buying a new pard for foxing, which one is better or are there no great differences in the 12 ml and 16 ml units, I've been told the 12m is better as it's clearer??? Any suggestions lads????
oldypigeonpopper
Hello, I am sure the 12 mm is only short wide view, I use the 16mm , they should both be clear on the screen but depends on the scope set up, my friend uses a 16 mm on his fox rifle and gets out to 250 yards with on board IR , that is just spotting, shooting range 100 yards max,
Wild Bill
Cheers, that's grand 16mm it is then, Im hearing great reports on them, and for the money!! Very much a good addition too the bag, thanks again OPP.
oldypigeonpopper
Hello, any way to put this is the 12 may need extra magnification with longer range screen shot giving rise to less clarity while I can use my 16 without any magnification , what scope are you fitting the 007 on ? Hello, 200 plus yards but for spotting, 100/120 for HMR 50/80 for 22LR , a good screen view with air rifle 50/60 yards, with a good laser IR torch you can double the spotting distance, 1 hour ago, silver fox 1 said: Hi they recommended 16 mil for foxing, sportsman and Gun Centre are doing a deal on them at the moment £332 A friend of mine bought one Friday off of them regards silver fox 1 Hello, yes I think a new model 007 is due out soon so reduced pricing

No new model is in the pipeline.

It all depends who you listen to Certain Pard retailers were quite keen to play down the existence of a new model while they were/are trying to get rid of the old ones. Just business I suppose 🤷♂️ The new S model will highly likely be back up to the original £400+ price point though.
miki
I have a Ward W800L for sale which will give you a lot more range than the Pard with a decent IR illuminator/torch. NV Store W800L The pard is good for closer in (22LR and 17HMR out to approx 100M) but for foxing/long range stuff the Ward is miles better. At twice the price of a new Pard it needs to be Seriously though , a 007 with a separate IR laser like a Sirius, and on the right scope, is a potent NV , quite capable of 500+ yards, far beyond the usual foxing range of 99 % of us. The Ward has arguably a better camera, but thats about it.
