VicW
I saw my first new model Land Rover Defender today. It is huge and seems to be about the size of a Ford Transit, I don't see many of them being bought by our local farmers in Lincolnshire for farm work like a poorly sick farm animal going to the vets. The spare wheel is mounted on the back door and looks right for stealing or vandalising as it is not in a cover. Vic.

VicW
I am not suggesting that they are but the spare on the new Defender looks much more attractive being very large and all new shiny alloy. Vic.
oowee
Just back from the LR dealer. I would buy one if I had a need for it. My wife was most impressed with them but is drawn to the bling of the Range Rover stuff.

Vic. Are the wheel bolt spacings the same as older models? because if they are that will make then very desirable for the thieves, easy to sell on once they get four. Best way to make wheels thief proof is to make them incompatible
Jim Neal
The Disco in its natural environment..... let's hope the new defender doesn't follow suit.... Edited April 26, 2021 by Jim Neal
figgy
There have been plenty of reports of electric faults causing problems. When working they do seem very capable. I know of two owners of the commercial versions and both are impressed with them. Both have had many 4x4's over the last 45 years or more including various land rovers and discos range rovers among mitsubishi ,Toyota's along with others etc. They do look nice in the poverty farm spec and swb with steel wheels.
