deeksofdoom
Was out rough shooting and was crossing a drain when I slipped on a rock which was submerged under the surface of the mud, I lost my footing and fell and kneecapped myself. Worse again I smacked the the barrel off another submerged rock creating a lip/burr on the rim of the barrel. Is this repairable by a gunsmith?.... can they hammer it back into shape or is it a case of filing off the burred piece. see pics below. Gunman
What I would call dressing the muzzle . Something you did to new barrels . This in fact just going round the edge with a fine cut file and the inside with a scraper or very fine half round file if required .
keeper96
I’d say it’s scrap with that level of damage. I’ll take it off you and safely dispose of it if you want?
deeksofdoom
Filled off the burr and shot a few snipe with it yesterday over my GSP no problems.
