udderlyoffroad
A lot of people find a thermal spotter & IR scope to be the most practicable combination especially with air guns or 0.17 hmr. But depends entirely on your circumstances/quarry.
bishop
To be honest the more i think on it , i cant be bothered fuffing about changing scopes over as pcp is not my bread and butter.Fowling is.Ill sell this on i think and go with a pard or wraith unit. bishop
can anyone tell me what the daytime optics are like on the pard units? Most of the time i use my airgun on the pigeons springtime.
villaman
You are better off with normal scope and pard 007 for night . Imo 008 in day time is no where good as a scope

Walker570
I have three separate 'scopes..scope attachments with IR. I have a cheap thermal which is ok out to 100yrds. I have used thermal binos costing £4000. Now for that money I can buy 40 Fox or similar spotting bonos with IR which I can see out to 250 -300yrds. OK maybe they will last me 18 months but that is 40 times 18 months for the thermal. Yes, thermal is great but until it comes down to sensible prices then I will use what I have. I also have a Wraith which once sighted in is excellent at sensible ranges. Edited May 21, 2022 by Walker570
oldypigeonpopper
Hello, nothing will beat a good day scope so I'm with villaman , a Pard 007 on a side focus scope, a thermal spotter if it suites you,

Hello, my friend has a 007 on his S/F scope and HMR and it's awesome , saying this there's quite a few copies that have good specs just depends what you want to spend, also I am sure you realise the scope and Pard will alter the eye relief but you can add a stock extender, Edited May 21, 2022 by oldypigeonpopper
