interesting, 'The Ole Chicken Man of Bungay' 300 hundred chickens at one time, bet the local foxes were well feed.

what brought the chicken rounderbout to its end was the advent of migrants moving into Bungay ...they started to kill and take the chickens....then the council stepped in and rehomed the few left after the old man who fed them died...same happened to the swans on the acle straight ...bloody migrants air rifled them for food........

Didn't they suffer similar across the channel at the same time.

Yes they did , Holland suffered as much , if not more than we did .

Just looked it up and overall there was 2,551 deaths from both sides of the North sea and 1800 were from the Netherlands and 30,000 animals were drowned .

Vert true. They hammered the fish in the Waveney to. Was a piece in EADT other week about them wanting to put a memorial/figure on it to the chucks and chicken man. NB
