Drool away : )

Looks spot on this ! A similar carvery up here would be circa £17.95 - £19.95 without the pint of beer to go with it

Fair dues buddy - looks good food and I would be happy paying for that food.

Proper jobs?

A few so called carvery meals have boil in the bag meat.

I paid £19 on Sunday for a roast dinner - in a small market town in NE Wales - the beef was boil in the bag - a smattering of mixed veg (including samphire???), a cold carrot (or half of one) that may have been broiled, some orange coloured sauce that tasted of nothing, 4 little roasters with something on them (could have been garlic salt - but was very bitter) and 2 and a bit slices of meat that looked like it came out of a bag - you know - it has that smooth look

2 Fishcakes with salad - £13 (*2)

steak panini with a few chips - £14

Extra Chips - £4.50 (barely enough to make a chip buttie from)

Garlic Bread - £4.50 (a ciabatta roll (50p) slavered in garlic butter)

These were sides to go with the fishcakes

I also noticed a double baileys on the bill - £7.50. Now Baileys is sold as a 50ml measure and this is what was given

Anyway - here is a menu - the one we had on Sunday was different

https://www.brunningandprice.co.uk/glasfryn/menus/daily-menu/

The annoying thing is - the other dishes people enjoyed - but they didn't have to pay the £100 plus bill for a sunday tea.

Definitely not a Carvery, orders throughout the week determines how many are prepared with a little surplus for walk in orders. Pauline's food is always good and freshly cooked, last night the wife and I had Carbonara each with chips and Garlic bread two pints of cider for me and a coffee and a coke for the wife £36.
