Stephen-H
Has anyone got any experience with the above ? Do they actually quiet the shot sound down? A friend is after one it would be being usued with normal game cartridges on crows near a cattle shed Cheers
Ultrastu
I would imagine so .I think there are a few utube vids of it . My huspower mod certainly quietens down 32 grm loads in 20b .
Centrepin
Only ever seen them on YouTube but they appear to make the gun very barrel heavy and of course you're only going to be able to use a single barrel gun. Methinks, despite the reduction in noise they would be awkward to use. Probably better buying a huspower.
Ultrastu
Get in touch with saddlery and gunroom and explain what you want and they can make it .
theshootist
I have one. They would be fantastic on a short barreled gun that is not an option here. They are certainly not as quiet as a full length moderator (I have a full length one on a Greener GP that is quieter), but how quiet do you need it to be? I can shoot without ear defense using one. And I don’t mean just an odd shot! Edited June 12, 2023 by London Best
steve_b_wales
I have one but have yet to try it out. I was advised to use felt wad cartridges as plastic ones could catch in the baffles. Luckily I've got a few boxes of fibre wad ones.
