I watched live tv for the first time in a few years today. The most obvious thing I noticed was how bland and sterile the adverts are now. Some of it is probably due to political correctness, but some of it is probably that most people have the ability to fast forward through ads now.

Here's my favourite advert. Back when companies used to try.

1) The original Guinness white horses advert.

2) Honda's Power of Dreams with the Impossible Dream soundtrack

3) This gem from Nolan's Cheese

😂 😂 You wouldn't even be able to pitch that idea in the office let alone run it as a add even tho it's brillant!

I remember when yorkie bars used to say " Its not for girls "

A few from when I was growing up that seem to have stuck

Ahh them were the days!!

that cheese advert got me in tears a bit. I remember the advert well, but the first carpenters song was played at my mums funeral. They don’t make them adverts like they used to!
