samboy
Hi gang. Turned on my Amazon fire kindle and it says Optimizing system storage and applications. This will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. But after turning it on and off 6 times nothing is happening. It shows the orange line going from left to right and that's it. Any ideas chaps ?. I have googled the problem and tried a few cures but still nothing . Thanks all.

It won't even switch on now so it looks like its time for a new one. Edited July 16 by samboy Added a bit.

Cosmicblue
Did you know you can use an ordinary tablet (or even phone) as a Kindle reader? There are free Kindle reader Apps available the Apple and Android stores.

You can use the phone browser to visit Amazon website and buy from there.
