Wilts#Dave
You can’t get comfortable at this time of year, there today and gone tomorrow….had many a day interrupted by the farmer going about his business! At least you still had some sport 👍🏼
marsh man
Sometimes seeing stubbles disappear overnight can be more of a help than a loss , a lot of farms in the Eastern region have caught up with the harvest after a slow start and are now waiting for the Spring drilled grain fields to ripen ,some of the stubbles have already gone and some of those have now been planted with a wild flower mix , some have been muck spread and some more will have fodder beat planted any day now , so where do it help us ? , well the o s r stubbles have been left alone and with no rain of late the loose seed haven't germinated , so the Pigeons have been pushed off the grain stubble and have now found the o s r stubble in very good numbers , yesterday I saw two fields that were beside each other with several hundred working the two fields , I am no longer keen enough or strong enough to sit it out for a good day so I rang the farm foreman up to see if he want to take him and his boy for some shooting on Saturday and today I will ring a mate of mine who pick up to see if he want some shooting tomorrow as he work all the week , I will go myself for a couple of hours tomorrow and will be more pleased if they get some good shooting rather than what I get , yes you need to be on the ball but look at all the work going on in the farming world as positive rather than negative and search out those fields off the beaten track, you might then hit the jackpot . Have a good weekend MM Edited August 2 by marsh man
