Mr.C
Yep that is good, if it's consistent and reliable it's very good.

clangerman
tidy shooting there back in the 60s could only dream of having rifles of today truth of what we had was you needed to get close enough to almost use a stick!
Ultrastu
Good old bsa barrels . The bad ones are good The good ones are great And the great ones blow your mind I'm lucky to have a few of them all And the one that blows my mind is on my oldest .177 pcp single shot ultra that I used to use for competitions .it will do a group like that at 50 yds . Enjoy and don't sell it .if you do keep the barrel.

I’ve got to agree with you , I think the bsa PCP and gamo are not rated high enough I’ve got R10 in .22 and 177 and they are so accurate, I made a stupid mistake in selling an ultra in .22, very accurate.👍

oldypigeonpopper
Hello, The only thing that put me off getting one was the weight, on special offer with Pellpax if anyone interested
Trumpetier
The Gamo PCP offerings do seem a lot better than there springers. I had a Phox in the past, wish I had kept it.

All of the official UK models of Gamo PCP`s are made at the BSA factory in Birmingham, most BSA but not all break action`s are made in the Gamo factory in Spain. The Phox, GX40 and GX250 all use the same action with different barrel and cylinder lengths. Edited November 23 by sportsbob

sportsbob
To the OP. I have just weighed a few and the figure's are quite revealing. The Air arms is only 340g or 3/4 of one pound lighter than the GX40. I do have quite a few more but they will all be heavier than the GX40. Webley Raider 500 3.43KG Kral NP-02 3.25KG Gamo GX40 3.17KG Reximex Myth 3.05KG Kral NP-03 3.04GK AIir rms S410 Carbine 2.83KG
oldypigeonpopper
Hello, It is all relative Bob but i cannot see why they make PCP Air Rifles so heavy although the Raider is an old model, , Most likely the reason I did not get on with those I had over 20 years to shoot Vermin, Lucky I never lost money selling on, There is so much good engineering with Ally and Carbon and the lighter steel, My P 15 is only 2.5 Kg , FX Verminator less the 3 Kg but looking to sell on to fund a Reximex Lyra K , saying all this I only shoot using a Tripod ha ha

Personally I feel weight is red herring as the Webley 500 feels quite light when in the hands due to it being better balanced, I used to own a Beretta 694 PRO Sport TSK shotgun and with 50g added to the stock tube it felt much lighter showing that balance did play an important part in the handling of a gun. oldypigeonpopper
Hello, I ask Pellpax to let me know the weight of the Myth and Lyra K , The Myth came as you mentioned and K was 2.8 Kg , The latter my preference
