What a delightful meet up.

I had arranged yesterday to go to Bushwakka`s house to pick up the 16 bore cartridges that he had recently advertised.

He advised that if no response at the door bell, to give him a call on his mobile as he could be in his workshop. Once he mentioned workshop, I wondered what he could be busying himself with in there.:hmm:

As it turned out he answered the door with a very welcome greeting. It so happened that he was into wood turning and general woodworking and showed me his workshop and some of the lovely things he`s into making. Having only been doing it about a year, his expertise was amazing with beautifully turned bowls, pens, hand crafted spoons and a host of other items.

I was able to pick his brains on much to do with lathe work and he was most generous with his time. I felt that we could have chatted for hours but realised he was in the middle of preparing his family`s dinner when I arrived, so didn`t wish to overstay our welcome. He made my wife so welcome too.

Not only did I come away with the cartridges, but a pack of cold smoked pigeon jerky he very generously gave me.:good:

What a lovely guy and I only hope that he manages to post photos of some of his projects here on pigeon watch.

Many thanks Pete, it was an absolute pleasure to meet you.:thanks:

Kindest regards,

Chris

Well what a lovely post I feel greatly humbled.

I find its very easy to click  with and chat to like minded people. I  have over the years met a few PW members and have found them to be a great source of information, knowledge as-well as being interesting to talk to.

I hope what little knowledge I passed on to Chris will cultivate  the inspiration to have ago and be creative.

I for one can’t wait to see the fruits of his labour.

All the best

Pete
