JTaylor91
In a similar theme to the other post, steak night has become a bit of a thing on an occasional Friday or Saturday night. The localish butcher does well aged beef and we can now no longer go anywhere else. The fryer oil has also been replaced with beef dripping for the chips. marsh man
That look that tender I could even eat that with my loose teeth , I have gone off of oil to do my chips , at the moment I am using oven chips but I might well try beef dripping . 39TDS
Nice one. I had steak tonight, Costco's best ribeye. It was as marbled and had as much fat content as your second to last pic. Not cheap but I cut each one in half, still very much plenty for me and a whole one would be too much. Tonights was probably the best cooked steak I ever had, not under or over cooked and probably about what you would call rare, I don't mind very rare/raw but this was nicer for having a little more time. Fried in a pan with beef dripping and then in the oven for a few minutes, cooked on my wood fired AGA type cooker so the oven was hot anyway. The downside for me tonight was I used a little more dripping for the onions, garlic and mushrooms than ideal. Live and learn and will adjust accordingly for next time. 7daysinaweek
That looks far tastier than what I had cooked for my tea tonight. I should have come to your house.

amateur
I bought a Wagyu ribeye from Warrendale. (Their photo.) Without doubt the best flavoured and tenderest steak that I have had in years. It was pricey, but hey ho!
