Does anyone an idea on Boar population around Galloway Dumfries area.

I've done some searching and as i expected it's a bit grey.  Do any locals have a better idea ?

I may be going up that way soon for a break and thought about taking a cabinet queen out for a trip.

Thanks 👍

There are the odd groups Dougy by the accounts of the chap I go stalking with who is based in Dumfries, they are few and far between, well they where when I asked him about them a couple of years back. Could be different now.

I have seen the pics of the odd one shot around dumfries.

I will message him for you, he is head stalker on a very large estate and has his ear to the ground. (He also on SD)

I am aimimg to go up next month for a few days.

Good suggestions from the others.

There is a population on and west of Crieffel adjacent to the Solway.   There was also a population living wild close to a fenced boar and deer farm/ shooting enterprise at , which got all kinds of bad press 10-15 years ago. I do not know if these ones are still on the go.

And why is this in Pest Control?
