Another finishing off the bits and pieces type of tea , A small piece of fish ( I done two but one was enough for me ) some mushy peas that wasn't that nice , another tasteless tomato ( just to give it some colour ) , some of the Christmas stock of Pigs in blankets , oven chips and a dollop of tartar sauce , and for afters I had one small trifle left , it was alright but nothing to get excited about .  MM

Looks very good again.   :good:

No sprouts, reasonable colour to the chips and just a simple garnish.

Well done MM.

I was drawn towards the sprouts this afternoon in M + S but I have a very strong will power and just managed to leave them on the counter , it have now took me three to four weeks to use the last one up so I will give them a miss for a week or so , today I bought some Leeks , Organic Cabbage , only because they didn't have any ( normal ) ones and some Broccoli , note I haven't had a lot of Chicken this week , tomorrow I might have sausages in onion gravy and my fresh veg , plus the long awaited Apple pie as all my other small afters are now gone :yahoo:

They got a bit warm while being cooked and threw the blankets off.  :cool1:

These were the original three little piggies that went to market , took them out of the freezer this morning and it was colder in my garage than it was in the freezer so they had to wrapped in silver paper and a spare duvet I had , once thawed out they responded well . although one did give out a little squeal when the heat was turned up so that might be the one that lost it's bed linen . :hmm:, I think that tin of Shandy was stronger than it stated on the tin .

I think that pic just triggered my ocd.

Surely sausage and fish on the same plate is breaking some kind of law ?.

I haven't felt this uncomfortable about a plate full of food , since the mixing of hens eggs , and duck eggs , on the same plate , that happened last week.

I share your discomfort re the sausage and fish, much like people who put gravy on fish

But, you naysayers are forgetting that MM has a palate that is out of calibration, is single and learning to fend for himself.

Quite honestly he's doing a cracking job keeping himself going and slowly increasing his weight and all this done while regularly raiding the "eat me know or die" shelves at his local Waitrose.

Good on him.  :good:

Now that have really hit me below the belt Mel , and there was I thinking I had created an ideal meal for someone who couldn't make his or her mind up about what to do for tea on a traditional Friday night which was always a fish and chip night , so after giving it a great deal of thought I came up with what I thought was the ideal solution when they either fancied a nice bit of fish , or sausages and bacon , easy I thought , let them have both of them together , I have already had positive feedbacks from the likes of Delia Smith and Jamie Oliver who both thought it was .... well something different  , THANKS for your kind and honest opinion :good::drinks:
