Gordon R Posted Friday at 23:47 Report Share Posted Friday at 23:47 Quote but trump the bleach drinker an intellectual heavyweight He never actually said that. I did not claim he was Albert Einstein, but he appears way brighter than the Labour airheads I mentioned.

No he didnt, but that didnt stop the press from widely proclaiming thats exactly what he said. Then someone comes along and says there is no media bias towards him It beggars belief sometimes just how badly and inaccurately he is treated by the media, and how gullible certain people are in believing what is written or said. Ive been watching the grilling the senate house dems have been giving his picks for sec of defence and AG, absolutely shameful how they cast aspersions on the character of people who have served their country, but, as soon as you associate yourself with the Trump, you are (in their eyes) no longer fit for the job. Shameful behaviour. Its a pity there isnt a process to vet ministers in this country, as first secretary starlins picks could have been pulled apart likewise, and exposed for the corrupt , liars. and incompetent chancers that they are. ryle
I was at a tree conference on the day of the election. There were plenty of the more hippy types present. Two girls in thier late 20s were stood behind me. One said something like "Ohhh, he's won by the looks of it" whilst looking at her phone is a dismayed tone of voice. The other said something like "Oh I know, its bad" I'd already smiled and made eye contact before chiming in on thier conversation and said something like the following... "I'm not an American, I dont pay tax into America, don't educate my child in America, dont live in America, dont buy groceries in America and dont know what day to day life is like in America. If people have voted the current government out, it has to be for a good reason and none of us here can truly understand that whilst we live in the UK" They did understand my point and took it well, we than chatted about the conference in a happy manner. As we've said, with the media bias against him, you sometimes feel at risk for even mildly defending him.
islandgun
I'm sure he is a wonderful person, if he helps bring about world peace I will happily take back any negative thoughts I may have for him....the same applies to all the other world leaders, random politicians, hangers on and all wannabe important types who seem intent on ####### everything up.😄

Are you sure they let you finish or did they just nod off? 🙂

As we've said the majority of people (I interact with anyway) will roll thier eyes somewhat, giving a wee hint that you are somehow stupid. This was my point with the girls, several hundred million people are not necessarily stupid for voting one way or another. Yeah, they let me finish ha ha. I suppose that sometimes it's how you make a point, rather than the point itself when explaining your position on a topic. Anyway, American politics and British politics are just not fully comparable in my opinion. Its a funny old world thats for sure
Weihrauch17
I am hoping he totally humiliates Starmer and his god awful cabinet and AG at every opportunity. He will start with Chagos I guess.

Like with Elon, as much as I do dislike our current clown show (and the previous wasn't perfect) I do believe that such outside interference should not happen. Labour sent representatives of some sort to the states to help promote Harris I believe and again, thats wrong in my view. The Conservatives did the same I think with Bush (I think), again I personally think that was wrong.
