Firearms fees and licensing - two ways to help

BASC is fighting for a fair deal on firearms licensing fees.

I would recommend that we all join BASC, the oldest, biggest and most influential organisation in field sports.

My rod license cost, to fish, aged over 66, is £23.80 per annum, under 66 it's £35.80

With Salmon, over 66, it's currently £60.20 per annum

I paid £79 for 250 21gm Comp X yesterday

The license fees aren't unreasonable for 5 years

I am a BASC member

Hell will freeze over before I give BASC another penny, I was a member for 25yrs till I needed their help, they were a total waste of time. 😩

Would you consider contacting your MP to help challenge the proposed fee rises from 5 February 2025 onwards?

Thank you for your support for BASC as a member and I get where you are coming from on rod licences. However, firearms licensing fees may keep going up with no improvement in service. With that in mind what fee would make you think twice about renewing?

Sorry to hear that. Are you happy with the fees rises proposed for 5 February onwards?

I'm a pensioner, but it would have to be £250 plus to not renew (and then what would I do with several shotguns?)

It's not a cheap hobby and I probably have £250 worth of cartridges at home
