I had several arguments with MA on his blog, a very arrogant man surrounded with sycophants, good riddance, Im wondering if at last he has listened to the science regarding moorland management and has decided to stop talking **** and leave wj before they are exposed as fools.

Or possible doesn't want to be tarnished by the increasingly deranged Packham brush.

I enrolled in his blog for some time a couple of years or so ago, after he criticised Dave (?) Carries daughter for  stating that she had no qualms about feeding her children lead shot meat.
My arguments were based on the freedoms of choice, against which he didn’t really have an argument as he agreed he had no right to dictate what people should and shouldn’t eat.
We got on ok to be honest; he wasn’t as rabid as I’d expected but the methods by which his blog was/is operated doesn’t make for a consistent to and fro debate, so I dropped out.
I’ve found that during the many debates I’ve had online with LACS, WJ, RSPCB and similar groups, that if you’re 100% honest and forthright in your points and arguments, their argument often falters and the holes soon start to appear, basically because their arguments are based on emotion and a distinct agenda which has its roots firmly entrenched in wealth envy and reverse snobbery. They instantly assume I’m wealthy and upper class because I enjoy shooting for entertainment, and find it disconcerting when they find out I’m a working class builder, as I was back then.
There’s lots of fun and points well made to be had if you stay logical, rational and honest, especially when they admit to being a meat eater, as Avery is.

Aye he likes his grub, it was a few years ago, mostly concerning their plans for the eco vandalism of moorland, meat eating which was acceptable unless it was game, and suitable gentleman's attire for bird watching, namely marketed by packham. It was when they started correcting my grammar that I came off it. Avery played to his audience

Yes, they do try to make the most of any flaw in anyone’s character; it happened to my spelling if I recall. Not an attractive trait admittedly, but when your argument doesn’t stand up to close examination I suppose ridicule is all you have.
I mentioned his waistline once regarding his appetite for meat when he started to get superior, and his cronies ganged up on me. 😂

yep, I have had a few scrapes with Avery and his little gang of disciples, I found him very condescending, gave up in the end as it was like banging your head against a brick wall.

Quite. I was never going to win, but then I didn’t set out to;  I was merely pointing out the flaws and sometimes the hypocrisy in his argument.
They know the flaws are there, they simply won’t willingly admit them.

Indeed - I pointed out to Mr P on his socials that  the RSPB has culled over 4,000 foxes in the last 10 years -more than all the hunts have ever killed - probably - Not a flicker

They do a lot of different culls, strange they dont mention it to their followers..😏
