Teal Posted January 13, 2008 Report Share Posted January 13, 2008 Had a great day on some bogs with a couple of good friends a few days ago. Below are pictured 6 species (we actually shot 10 species in total- but magpie, jackdaw, rook, feral pigeon were not included in the photograph). The bogs were very flooded with a lot of recent rain, see picture of the corner of one of them and so there were not many snipe about (the original target species). Instead we managed to flush a large number of Teal which were feeding in the bogs of which we got 6, and about 30-40 each of wigeon and mallard on a lake, of which we did rather less well. B) The weather held up brilliantly, as we headed back to the car the skies began to open and when I got home it was really bucketing it down!
