:good: coke was originally invented as a hangover cure. Skull a couple of cans and you should feel some effect.

If i`m out on the lash i start drinking still water towards the end, then when home i have a tall glass of water. If i wake in the night for a slash i have another one.

On the whole i get up right as rain. Hangovers are caused by dehydration mostly.

As Chunk says, the hangover is due to dehydration of the body. Alcohol is a poisen, and your organs will be working hard to remove the poison (at their expense) which uses fluidsfrom your body, making you dehydrated and feeling ill. Mainly headaches, and tiredness. Providing you dont get alcohol poisoning, plain good old water sould get you back on your feet in a few hours. But a fry up with some salt (replace what you lost in sweating) and a little sugar, will help with dizziness (the bit that makes you feel sick).

We have all been there, horrible :good:

get home - big jug of pure orange diluted with water.

get up at 7am and having a shower - smelling of last night never helps anyone

egg and black pudding bap for breakfast, with something like lucozade

then go and do something - laying on the sofa thinking about how much your head hurts isnt any good!

keep drinking plenty - if you get to the point of your mouth being dry, you arent drinking enough!

And dont think of all the things you did when you were drunk...

Atleast I feel anxious when I think of what may/did/would have happened while I was drunk, making you feel more ill :good:;)

That anxious feeling is also known as "The Fear". I get the fear pretty bad when I have had a real skin full. Generally because I act so badly when really drunk.... Seriousley, The Fear is evil and there is little cure for it.

A mate of mine swears by, how shall I say, doing battle with the pirtate of mens pants in the shower as a hangover cure.... never tried it myself, generally the last thing on my mind when I wake up with an over hang!

Can you explain how that one works?

I have heard that cheese/milk line the stomach in a fatty later preventing alcohol absorbtion, but while that may be correct, it is the intestine that abosbes liquids, not the stomach. (through Diffusion)

I'm not exactly sure, but it works. I tried it a few months ago after seeing it on SpikeTV. I drank some about 4 hours before I started drinking, and then got completely hammered. Woke up the next day and felt great.

Thats the thing with drinking though, sometimes you can drink loads and be fine, other times you can have only a few pints and feel real rough in the morning.

I will be sure to try that one out though.. when I get back to having enough money to have a good drink now and then. To many other things zapping my cash at the min to justify spending it on booze.

Pub lager is full of impurities I think. For the same number of pints, the pub stuff will leave you a wreck of a man.Bottle and canned stuff is much cleaner for your system, especially imported.I remember having an early evening pint that tasted like battery acid on more than one occaision.Anybody else find the pub beer bad? And overpriced?

Overpriced maybe but different from canned / bottled no.

The stuff in the can is the same stuff in the keg.

On the production line while canning, bottling or

putting in kegs the beer / lager is the same just pumped

to different lines.
