tweedledee
well i used to use 32 no 6s but due to the price increase i switched to 28 trap 7.5s and tightened up my choke and i have to say im getting clean kills within sensible ranges.i shoot hundreds each year and i have already started stacking shells for the decoying season when it starts.i know there will be a lot of guys that dont agree with me on using these shells for crows and i have to say that at the beginning i was worried about woundies but honestly my shell/choke combination works well for me.but i do ensure i coy them into sensible ranges. I haven't bought any in ages but I see the gun shop has started stocking steel. No word yet on the .222 it's only been five weeks and I'm not expecting to hear anything for a few months yet. I was speaking to Roger Pollen of the BASC and he said it's taking sixteen to twenty weeks for a variation.
Baldrick
I use 32g #6 Eley or Rottweil. It's more satisfying to carefully (if slowly) pick them off from 200 yards with a centrefire though.

A Sick Old Man
My Two penny worth is as follows Three crow decoys, one drawn rabbit, set this at 150yds from your very well hidden point, then shoot the live crows with a .17HMR. A right hoot Otherwise it really depends on how close you can get to them in flight, mine come off a land fill over a row of Blackthorn, so I can use a 410 no problem. But they are canny birds and you will only get about four using these methods, the Warrener recond that the ******* knew his car number plate
benelli 1
I must admit that in the past I have always used 30/32 gram 6's or 6 1/2's. But on my last outing, I decided to give a box of 28 gram 7 1/2's a go. I must admit that I was very pleased with them and using my semi with 3/4 choke, I was getting clean kills out to forty yards. I think I'll be using them again
