ballad for aled

Tis wales wild hills we start this ballad

a jaunty tale about young aled

stout of heart and weak of measure

to go out shooting was his pleasure

see him sat behind his hide

hoping birds on yon would glide

in the distance, a spec, a blur

this sets our heros heart a stir

pigeon, crow seagull or rook

all are game in aleds book

he volleys forth, into the the skies

a mile away a pigeon dies

but look at aled, how hes frowning,

should get further with my browing,

along with cranfield on the forum,

aled asks for some decorum,

nonsense says he, it has no place,

of shooting fishing we are the face,

without his posts, his rays of light,

we might not get a laugh tonight,

so raise a glass to St Davids lad,

of his posts we should be glad,

Without who would we lampoon?

that kentish LB, the buffoon.

Ernyha, YP or the Hammergun?

It would be sport, but not much fun,

so pray he posts another night,

or we will have to pick on millomite

to lambast deako would be crazy,

to harrass C.Mosely, thats just lazy,

TBRF and dazza of their tongue,

russ abbott, jimmy cricket, its been done,

Mrobson yes our tongues may loose

last chance we have of shooting goose

so come on aled bring in your deaks,

dinners ready. youve guessed it .Leaks

Jim with way too much time on his handsDfish

and it will be a long time before a goodbye.
