bob300w
Well, it looks straightforward, but I would only try it with clean killed rabbits, i.e. head shot with rifle or ferreted, I think that it would make an awful mess inside with a rabbit that was killed with a shotgun, especially if the intestines or gut were ruptured.. Highlander
As I hate cleaning rabbits (nasty smelly things) this looks like a damn good idea. Can imagine it going wrong though and anyone within a metre range could get showered. Yep definitely worth a go especially if I can get a mate to watch closely! sandersj89
I have tried it, with Sussex Lad as a witness. Head shot still warm rabbit. It did work just fine. Jerry
henry d
It`s a method Falconers use and leaves them with clean hands, the way I was shown was to roll the thumbs over each other, however I prefer to know everything is out, that I want out, and everything I want left, is left. Wookie
The three I got last night with the HMR would not have worked with that method... All were chest shots and made a severe mess. Clean kills though and I still have the hind legs and saddle to eat.

malkiserow
'Golden shower' is the correct terminology I believe............ ........... correct me if I am wrong.... but doesn't that involve people not bunnies or is there something you wish to share on a serous note..... I like the liver left in so folks can check the condition of the rabbit. Have you tried holding up the bunny by the shoulders and slitting the belly all the way down letting gravity do its thing with the minimum of assistance with your other hand? triscrx
Looks easy enough but slit down the front and using gravity is just as easy. Doubt that works every time that perfect
