Baldrick
If judged on sheer fun to drive: Bowler Wildcat, Porsche 911 GT3 or Caterham R500 Superlight. If judged on history and global popularity, it has to be the Land Rover Defender.

Markio
Sorry for the bump but here is my mates latest ride I walked into his garage past the db9 and nearly died when i saw this with its 7litre V12 **** me running but that is amazing. I see these around and they sound lovely and look just as good but not yet driven one (here's to hoping). I can only assume they aren't the best handling cars in the world as aren't most of the most sought after cars, but that's not what's it about really is it? p@cman
5.2 litre mobilus Velorex triplo (like a quattro, but with three wheels instead of four) with superdupercharger. Lightweight canvas construction ensures rapid acceleration of 0-60 in 3.9 secs and top speed of 176mph although the steering gets a bit light over 155mph

bob300w
From the sublime to the ridiculous, Bob! Am I right in thinking that the Trabant holds the record for quantities produced? The Sachsenring factory made 3 million Trabants making it a very successful car, to put this in perspective there were only 1.2 million Morris Minors made. The Trabant was a steel monocoque design with roof, bootlid, bonnet, fenders and doors in Duroplast, a form of plastic containing resin strengthened by wool or cotton. This helped the GDR to avoid expensive steel imports, but in theory did not provide much crash protection, although in crash tests it has actually proven to be superior to some modern small hatchbacks. The Trabant was the second car to use Duroplast, after the "pre-Trabant" P70 (Zwickau) model (1954-1959). The duroplast was made of recycled material, cotton waste from Russia and phenol resins from the East German dye industry making the Trabant the first car with a body made of recycled material. Details shamelessly stolen from; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trabant
