Chard
Can any of you clever chaps identify this? It was found outside a school. At first I thought it was one of those silly fantasy knives, but it looks more like some kind of tool. I thought it might be some kind of skinning knife, but it doesn't look quite right Answers on a postcard

Chard
I reckon it's a small kitchen meat cleaver, ground down into that silly blade shape. A bit like these "fantasy" knives that sad inadequate freaks buy. Like a cross between something out of Lord of the Rings (King Cornholer) and a marital arts knife :o :o I've not seen the original but the handle looks a bit Habitat/Ikea-like That top edge (the back of the blade) looks a bit rough hewn and home made to me Perhaps an Orc dropped it :o Edited July 16, 2008 by Chard
Biffo1262
It looks very much like one of those old roofing slate cutter and shapers.

salisburykeeper
You should have handed it in at the school! its very irresponsible picking that up! now there is going to be some poor kid not be able to defend himself when a knife fight breaks out on the way home! Also how will he get his lager money from the old lady without it?
