Libertyandlivelihood
Was just thinking it would keep the thread tidy!! Basically want to know how to go about requesting an increase in ammo purchase/hold quantity??
steve_b_wales
Just fill in a variation form stating what new amount/s of ammo' you require. There may be a charge for this, so think of another calibre you would like, and add that as well. You may as well get your monies worth. tulkyuk
No charge for increse in amount ammo to be held - just send your license in, no need to fill out a variation normally
Libertyandlivelihood
So I just need to send a letter with the request and reason and enclose my certificate??
bob300w
So I just need to send a letter with the request and reason and enclose my certificate?? Yep, providing that your police area has not set a maximum limit, and that you are on it already, it's that simple. Give your area HQ a ring and ask what the limits are. Libertyandlivelihood
I hope not, I only have 100 x .17 and 300 .
allthegearandnoidea
Are you supposed to send your certificate to them? I don't have an FAC but with my SGC I was told not to give it to the police until they gave you a replacement so that you were never without it. little zimba
I been told if you need to send in your FAC/SGC make a photo copy and send in the photo copy,Not 100% about this but just going by what I've been told
al4x
I hope not, I only have 100 x .17 and 300 .22 that is ridiculous amounts if I have a really good night out with the .17 I can use that and more
CharlieT
Of course you have to send it, how else will they cancel it and issue a replacement. Just keep a photo copy.
allthegearandnoidea
So how do you but more ammo if they take 3 months to send you a new one. My FEO told me that they would take the old one once they handed you the new one and I was not to send them my current certificate. Edit. If you worked in a gun shop would you sell .177 rounds to someone who walked in with a photocopy of an FAC? Libertyandlivelihood
Well its been sent off today, and from a trusted source the answer is that you are required to send the original and keep a photocopy for yourself ( in this area anyway ) Might they send it back open as I have requested this also. Had licence for 2 years and purchased 4,500 rounds so lets hope so.
