hi thought i would post a few pics of my little family outing did a little fishing some rabbit hunting and visited a indian POW WOW interesting to note when the indians have there grand opening to a powow they lead the procession with the US and Canadian flag as to resemble there homeland as many of the dancers are from all over Canada and the USA and they travel through out the continent to indian reservations to show their recently revived culture, aswell they carry the Union Jack to show the Canadian indians close relationship to the British Monarch as Canada was known as the land of the grandmother referring to queen victoria, aswell the procession is always led out buy Canadian and American war vetrans and elders there is a pic of me standing beside a indian veteran of my Regiment the PPCLI. as my wife is half plains cree indian it was a neat experience to have been there and a very strong part of Canadas original heritage i can imagine as the highland regiments from the UK and commonwealth armies with there kilts and pipes are were intimidating to there enemies so must have been the young Indian Brave as they are called with there outfits and drums anyway hope you enjoy

gotcha, not been that way other than claybashing, love the old indian names given to areas dont you, one that springs to mind is "smashed in head buffalo jump" took some time down there in drumheller, was told of times past when the indians ran buffalo into the ravine to kill them, must have been a scary task, i've hearded Buffalo on quads before, when they dont want to move you wont persuade them otherwise, moving 2200 lbs of stuborn animal is like winning an argument with the wife :lol:

You guys do like to name things differently over there. I remember when I was in Lloydminster on the Saskatchewan/Alberta boarder and we were having chasers with our drinks - one of the specials was called a 'Rocky Mountain Bear ****er'

And then there was the club we used on a night out - Rockin Rodneys :)

Nice pics JC
