EMT
I work for the Ambulance Service and these callers are very real. So far some of the more stupid calls I have arrived at are : 1. To close a window for a woman who lived on the 7th floor of a tower block because she was afraid of burglars. (They sent a car and an ambulance to that !!!!!) 2. Called to a high street for a woman because she wanted somewhere to sit out of the sun for 10 minutes. 3. To make a woman a bowl of soup. 4. To a house because a neighbour wanted the bloke next door to pop round but couldn't be bothered to walk next door to tell him. These are just a few I could go on all day. These calls were ones I actually attended, not just calls to 999.
Dr W
Christ that sort of behaviour should be an instant £200 fine or even better a bullet to the head to save the gene pool.
rimfire4969
I think all the 999 services should carry tazers, so when you turn up to one one of these idiots you can give them a ******* bit shock.
V8landy
We need Q from the James Bond films to make a device that the 999 call centre can send a electromagnetic radiation newtron (you get the picture) blast down the telephone line that frys the person at the other end! OK I like Bond and maybe have watched to many?
henry d
The good thing that all emergency service call centres have now is, the ability to triangulate mobile phone signals and this reduces the chances of hoax calls. If someone says there is a fire in say Trafalgar Square and they can see this person is actually in Brighton, they will query it.
