blackbird
Hi all, am I alone or does anybody else on pigeonwatch go after mr fox at day time with a rifle I have just got back & bagged my third fox with my HMR . I would love to get a lamp but the farms I shoot on dont want me to shooting there at night. Edited December 28, 2008 by blackbird

steve_b_wales
I have shot many foxes during daylight hours. Normally, I go after them at first light. This is the best time I get to see them. I have also seen them while pigeon shooting mid-afternoon.
AndyCM
I prefer the shottie in the day (& July - Sept) Often sit up with the rifle at dusk without the lamp but using moon / light backgrounds. Tonight I was plotted up until 5:30 and I could see ok for a shot, unfortunately no customers.

maddog546
This is a good time of year to hunt them in the daytime,as theyre wandering home from a night out on the town chasing women, reminds me wher I need to be tomorrow at midday as whilst out with Lurchers today there was a lone dog calling in the moors about 1 this afternoon,be a shame for him not to have a HOT55grain date ! This time of year I do see them sometimes in the afternoon but it seems to follow no routine pattern.
Baldrick
I have taken a good bag of foxes at (and shortly after) dawn so far this year, shot from a variety of high seats overlooking bait points and specific tracks.
