Chard
Put a joke on there which may or may not have been found amusing, so I binned it. Did it involve gerbils?
timps
Timps - ? I know it wasn't good When I eventually looked at the card I got a 77, not good ......My head was elsewhere, lesson learned never have a row at home then go shooting lol, but it was a hell of a lot more than I thought I had got . Peter De La Mare
Did poorly today at JJ's. 76/96. Took ages and ages to get into stand 1 and by that point I was already wanting to go home. Never seen JJ's so busy.... apparently Dartford Sporting layout was closed so everyone ended up atg JJ's. So, I've learnt that I don't like huge squads and long waits. Looking forward to next week and forgetting this one. Baz, Bagsy and Derek were doing really well. Bagsy and Baz on 84 and 83 I think. paulos
How many stands are there at JJ's? Why on earth do they have 84 and 96 bird shoots??
Peter De La Mare
How many stands are there at JJ's? Why on earth do they have 84 and 96 bird shoots?? Ya, asked the same question myself. It's worse than you think as there are 6 pairs on each stand, and 7 or 8 stands. 8 stands once a month, else 7. I hate 6 pairs on a stand! Peter De La Mare
Yup, lost the will to live there this morning. 4 hours to get around, pretty much. Normally 2hrs.
Anni
I worked it out though if I convince myself theres 4 pairs on a 3 pair stand and 5 pairs on a 4 pair stand, then I wont miss the last bird on every stand At this point I should say SIMPLES but I hate that advert Edited October 11, 2009 by Anni

Mungler
Pete, shame we missed you at JJs today. I guess your brother wasn't out this week. I was robbed of high gun by a trapper and a late pulled pair, but hey I'll save that excuse for another day. High gun 88, me 87.
Bagsy
Pete, shame we missed you at JJs today. I guess your brother wasn't out this week. I was robbed of high gun by a trapper and a late pulled pair, but hey I'll save that excuse for another day. High gun 88, me 87. Some good scores came in at the last minute Mung, 91 finished top in AA and an 85 finished top in B knocking my 84 into 2nd spot. Broken Man was knocked out of the prizes in A too. Baz done well shooting 82 today Sue Bear shot an absolutely superb 69 and was really unfortunate to miss out on the top spot in ladies class by one kill. May have ended differently if some fool hadn't mentioned the scores as she headed in to the last stand Good to see Pete's brother out again, though he had a very valid excuse today. After all, if you can't see the back of an arctic truck until you're embedded into it's **** then what chance have you got with the clays
ME
Sounds like I did well to miss JJ's then Quote of the day at Copfurn - Sue Bear to Mungler "Will you give me one ? Come on, I was always giving you one in the past" Bagsy will be glad to know that Mr Sweeting was missing him this morning. We told him that Bagsy was on holiday in Majorca with Stephen Gately. Second quote of the day - Mungler to Sue Bear "Sue, you need to hit one of the next two clays otherwise you're gonna have to shoot the next stand with your "LARLAR" out." (she did hit one) Edited October 11, 2009 by ME

Evil Elvis
Bagsy was put off by Anita mentioning the thigh boots that she bought during the week to go with her mini skirt....................Bagsey loooked flustered enough until she said that she would be commando as she bent down to pick up her empties.....I dont know who was steaming more....bagsey or Dave. Dave shot clays for the first time today and got 58 ex 96 and John was so impressed he gave him a nice glass trophy!!!!! Result...very natural shooter................not taking him again!!! Bagsy
Third quote of the day......Bazza, on seeing a clay trap attached to a sack barrow "that's a good idea putting traps on wheels to move about, they weigh quite a lot" Edited October 11, 2009 by Bagsy
Evil Elvis
I think Bagsy hurt his leg.....he was limping a lot....................................
jaycey
Talking of JJ's maybe one or two of you seasoned shooters could give me a tip on stand 6 there. The Orange clay going away not the left to right standard. I shot there for the first time yesterday and just couldnt get the measure of it and didnt hit a single one. Cheers
Evil Elvis
Was that the left to right quartering away and dropping? Edited October 11, 2009 by Evil Elvis
jaycey
It was indeed, I saw quite alot in front of me missing it too.
Peter De La Mare
Sounds like stand 1, right at the very top of the hill behind the signing on hut? Stand 6 was the simo teal at the bottom. I got all of those, it didn't need much lead, more important to be low enough, using maintained lead you just needed to see a little air to the right of the bird. Mungler
Jaycey, don't ask Pete. Wait for his brother to come on and give you his answer
jaycey
Dont know if they change em, but it was the second last down the hill. The last was a standard and midi going away (shot it as a pair) but it was the stand before it (6) an orange quartering away and a left to right kinda of looper. Both of the traps were to the left of the dugout you stand in. Edited October 11, 2009 by jaycey
Peter De La Mare
What time were you there Andy? There must have been 5,000 people there when we were shooting.
