Which Semi Auto 3 Shot for £5oo or less?

I want to upgrade my Hatsan Escort Semi Auto and wondered which Semi Auto is the best one to go for. My budget is £500 or less and I intend to use it for both real pigeon and clay pigeon shooting so being able to cycle 28 gram loads is essential.

Looking forward to hearing your suggestions.

Cheers

i,d recommend you go with the Remington spr 453. They are £600 new but if you are good at haggling you will get one for £500. I have one and its been faultless during the last 3 years. Its been my main gun until a couple of weeks ago and has had countless carts through it. Its had two stoppages in that time which in my book is darn good.

Just looked on gun trader and there is a new one for 500 in staffordshire

Not knocking it, but I think I`m right in saying that the Remington Spartan 453 is actually the same gun as the Baikal MP 153, but with the Remmy logo.

I think that you might be able to buy the Baikal for less than the Remington. Its a good gun if it fits you. A mate of mine has had one for years and has had no problems at all with it.

You are correct in saying its a re badged Baikal. The remington version is the same price as the Baikal hence the reason why i went for the remington. Its a better name :good:

Go to jan 28th on the wanted section and look for markm's post about selling his browning gold.....£300 even when you factor in postage to RFD your still saving a packet and its a cracking gun and you will have money left to send me for pointing you in the right direction..... :o

but seriously it IS a cracking gun and you cant go wrong for the price

Remington 453 are cheaper than the Baikal MP153's. Try Malmo guns - I had a cracking deal delivered to my RFD. Under £500. This gun will shoot 2.5" to 3.5". However it doesn't like 24 gm 2.5" ??? , but very different on 30G 2.5"

Cant say I've tried 24gram loads in mine. The lightest i have used are 28gram and never had a problem with them or anything heavier. Cant see why you would want to lighten the load anyway as the recoil is non existent with the 32 grams. I've shot 56 gram heavies with mine and other than the noise increase i would compare the recoil to a standard 28 gram load in a o/u.
